Copperleaf Residence 2 is operated by Gcobela Investments (Pty) Ltd, a student accommodation provider based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.
Who We Are
Gcobela Investments (Pty) Ltd, trading as Copperleaf Residence 2, was established in 2015 and is based at 888 Mgxaji Street, Ngangelizwe, Mthatha. The company operates a 14-bed, NSFAS-accredited student residence that primarily serves students attending Walter Sisulu University and surrounding TVET colleges.
Since inception, we have remained committed to providing safe, affordable, quality accommodation that supports student success and wellbeing, while creating jobs for residents of the local community.

To provide safe, secure, affordable and student-centred accommodation that creates an environment conducive to academic success, while contributing to the development of local communities.
Our Vision
To become a leading provider of quality student accommodation in the Eastern Cape by expanding access to safe and affordable housing for students across tertiary institutions.
Student wellbeing
A safe, secure and comfortable home that lets students focus on their studies and academic success.
Local employment
We currently employ five staff members and contribute to local economic development through job creation.
Planned Butterworth expansion
A second student residence is planned in Butterworth, Eastern Cape. Opening date and completion status are still to be confirmed, and it is not yet taking enquiries.
